Virgin argan oil is extracted from the almond of the fruit of the argan tree, a small spiny tree from the Moroccan south west. The oil has been used for centuries by the Berbers of the Atlas Mountains for its gastronomic and nutritional values. Ar-gan oil can be used in all types of dishes - sweet or sour, hot or cold. As a sea-soning for salad, it is preferable to use it accompanied by lemon juice.
