Domaine de la Croix Belle, 41%vol., produce of France.
GRAPE VARIETIES: Sauvignon blanc
PRODUCTION: Vin du Languedoc eau de vie, vin de pays Sauvignon Blanc and Languedoc column distillation
AGEING: More than seven years in an oak cask
DESCRIPTION: Nice amber body. Trickles slowly down the side of the glass in droplets. Mild, delicate nose where notes of vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, exotic and dry fruits mix and follow each other. Agitation provokes an aroma of mixed hazelnut and orange zest as well as the fragrance of the Garrigue. It has an amazing freshness on the palate. The light menthol taste and the notes of hazelnut and walnut accompany the scent of thyme, Garrigue herbs, mild spices (cinnamon, vanilla) and candied orange. The overall effect is very agreeable, very long, sweet and complex at the same time.
This wine-based eau-de-vie is distilled and bottled by the winemakers of Bassan for Jacques & Françoise Boyer, vintners and producers (Puissalicon, Herault).
